At Colakin, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard the data you provide when you visit colakin.com or use DeX, our agentic AI platform for software delivery.

We collect only what we need to create your account, run your projects, keep the platform secure and improve our services. We never sell your personal information.

By creating a DeX account or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Interpretation and Definitions

Words with capitalized initials have the meanings below, whether they appear in singular or plural form.

• Account – A unique profile you create to access DeX.
• Company, Colakin, We – Colakin, Level 3, 480 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia.
• Service – The DeX platform and the colakin.com website.
• Workspace – The Personal, Professional, Business or Enterprise space you set up in DeX.
• Personal Information – Any information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
• Project Content – Requirements, prompts, files, specifications, wireframes, code and any other material you submit to or generate in DeX.
• Device – Any computer, phone or tablet used to access the Service.
• Third-Party Service – Any outside service you connect to DeX, such as Google sign-in.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account: first name, last name (optional), email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), country and mobile number.
• Workspace: workspace type, workspace name and team members you invite.
• Billing: billing name, address and plan. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
• Support: messages, enquiries and consultation notes.
• Preferences: your marketing consent choice and when you made it.

Information from Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile photo, with your permission.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, usage metrics such as agent hours and tokens used, and security logs.

Project Content: everything you submit to or generate in DeX. This content belongs to you.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your Account and Workspace.
• Run DeX agents and deliver your projects, from specifications to deployment.
• Process payments and provide support.
• Protect the Service against fraud, abuse and security threats.
• Improve and develop our features.
• Send service messages, such as security alerts and policy updates.
• Send marketing messages, only when you have opted in.
• Meet our legal obligations.

5. AI and Your Project Content

• You own your content. Your specifications, wireframes and generated code belong to you.
• We use it only to serve you. Project Content is processed to deliver DeX features, keep the Service secure and meet legal requirements.
• No training on your private content. We do not use your Project Content to train AI models for other customers.
• Built for sensitive data. DeX uses safeguards such as tokenization and isolated processing, and supports cloud, on-premise and customer-managed deployments.
• AI model providers. Depending on your plan and the AI model you select, content may be processed by trusted model providers under confidentiality and security terms.
• Please review AI output. Generated documents and code should be reviewed before you rely on them. Avoid entering highly sensitive personal data, such as government IDs or card numbers, unless your configuration is designed for it.

6. Sharing and International Transfers

We share Personal Information only with:

• Service providers that help us run DeX, such as hosting, AI models, payments, email and analytics, under written agreements.
• Your organization, if you join a Business or Enterprise Workspace, where administrators can see account details and activity.
• Advisers and authorities, where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
• A future owner, if Colakin is involved in a merger or sale, with notice to you.

Colakin operates in Australia, India and the United States, so your information may be processed in these and other countries. We use appropriate safeguards, such as contractual protections, for these transfers.

7. Security and Retention

We protect your information with encryption, access controls, role-based permissions and continuous monitoring. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

We keep Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. When you delete your content or close your Account, we remove your data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it, such as billing records.

8. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service and understand how the website is used. Necessary cookies are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Marketing Communications Consent

What you agree to

When you tick the marketing box at sign-up, you agree that Colakin may email you about DeX product updates, new features, tips, events, webinars, offers and credits. Your consent is optional and is never required to use DeX.

Your control

• Unsubscribe any time using the link in every email, or in Account Settings under Communication Preferences.
• Service messages continue. Security alerts, billing notices and policy updates are not marketing and will still be sent.
• No selling of your details. We never sell or rent your contact information for third-party marketing.
• Records kept. We record when and how you gave consent, and keep a suppression list so we honor your opt-out.

Our marketing follows applicable laws, including the Spam Act 2003 (Australia), CAN-SPAM (USA), GDPR (EU/UK) and the DPDP Act 2023 (India).
